Come for a Chat

Come for a Chat
You are invited to come and have a virtual cup of tea, a bottle of champagne, or a nice cosy, rich, smooth, hot chocolate, with me, in this snug little nook. If the table does not suit you, I have the most beautiful, intimate, friendly, and warm, lounge area on the other side of the room where you can relax, unwind, and chat in dulcet tones, and leave the troubles of the world behind. Yes "we are doing it tough at Uni", and this is a place you can come and be yourself, and be treated like you are the most important person on the planet, (which you are - no-one realises it yet). You may eat and drink anything to order, everything is made fresh to your specific taste, and you will be looked after so that you feel safe, and secure, in this place. The company will be relaxed and entertaining, and you will feel energised, happy, and will laugh many times, because you are having the most wonderful time. I look forward to your visit. Bye from Gema.

Digital Video

What a marvellous tool for learning. A video could be used as a record of say plants growing in science. Or as a record of any changes over time. It can also be used for presentations, for connecting with people on the other side of the world. It could be used to record events, people, things or places for posterity. Video is another dimension. It could be used in HPE for the teacher to video students and then review their performance in sport and improve their actions or technique through watching themselves. Digital video can also be manipulated to change the way things look to meet the criteria of a particular audience. For example; a video may be changed by speeding the video up to show change over time of turtles hatching out of the sand. It may not be practical to watch this process for hours on end but by having a video and then speeding it up the process can be condensed in to minutes rather than hours.
